Are Ragdolls good pets for families?
Yes, Ragdolls are great for families both with children and other pets. EastCoastRagdoll kittens leave socialized and ready to integrate in your home!

Yes, all our kittens leave with their TICA registration, their papers are how you know you are getting a purebred Ragdoll kitten whose lineage has been carefully vetted
How long do Ragdolls usually live?
Most domestic cats live between 12 to 18 years, though with proper care, some cats can live even longer.
What Color Options do I have for my Ragdoll?
Ragdolls have various patterns allowed such as bicolor, colorpoint, mitted, and van.
Acceptable colors are: blue, seal, chocolate, cream, lilac, and red,
Some breeders allow for mink and other color variations, but this introduces green eyes to the breed which is not what traditional Ragdoll breeders support.
Do Ragdolls Shed?
All cats with fur will shed, but Ragdolls in general shed less than many of their peers especially with regular coat maintenance such as brushing.
Are Ragdolls Hypoallergic?
Ragdolls are not hypoallergenic, but many people with allergies notice their symptoms are not severe around Ragdolls as they don’t have as much of an undercoat as other cats.
What do Ragdolls eat?
Ragdoll cats can eat most cat food, but I always caution to take care in picking out your dry food as it should be their primary diet and can affect their growth and coat. A high quality diet is important.
How to submit a reservation?
I am glad you are considering one of our kitties! We do require a video call before submitting a reservation and we contact anyone who submits an application for a video call. We only send out a link to reserve one of our Ragdolls if you are approved. We are looking for loving homes and families who will cherish our Ragdolls kitties.
How long has EastCoastRagdolls been breeding?
We have been breeding Ragdolls for eight years now and we are well known for our high standards for our cats and attention to detail with our kittens.
How many litters of Ragdolls do you have per year?
We have on average 4-5 litters per year. This allows all of our queens to have suffcient time to recover between litters and gives us time to spoil each kitten we have. It can make our waitlist a bit long at times, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Are Ragdolls good as emotional support animals?
Ragdolls are very intuned with your emotional state. They realize when you are upset and will seek you out which can help you or your loved one regulate their emotions. They have a high emotional intelligence and they are active participants in the family due to this.
I have a job away from the house, is owning a Ragdoll still ok?
Ragdolls are all about quality over quantity. While they will love if you are home all day, they also will adjust if you have a job if you make sure to spend quality time with them when you are home.
What are Ragdolls personalities like?
We can’t speak for all Ragdolls, but the Queens, and our King, were carefully chosen for beauty, but also for personality. We only breed Ragdolls they are exceptionally social with us, following us around and love the attention from the kids and our dog. I love how they look, but a beautiful cat is nothing without a wonderful personality also. Our Ragdolls love being picked up and pet, cuddled, and to play with us when we get out their toys.
Will my Ragdoll act like puppy-cat like they say online?
Ragdolls are known for being very social, going limp when you turn them over, and also yes, acting more like a dog than a cat!
Ragdolls follow you around the house and want to be part of your everyday routine. The more you invest in your ragdoll, the more devoted they will be to you.
